The state secretary, who is now in a bad state of health, visits the ruling regent during a lavish party and demands apology, which he is refused, whereupon his supporters chase the state secretary from the court and all gates are locked from the inside (3rd scene). Carried away by the vigor, the press kindles a storm in which a tornado suddenly turns into a pile of shit that will float in the air for the rest of the act, the princes fuel the storm with loud slogans that echo the general people like an echo reproduces (2nd scene). The deposed regent of the neighboring empire presents himself to the press with a speech in which he takes sides for his former adversary and calls for a witch hunt against the State Secretary (1st scene). When the State Secretary meets the successor he has appointed at a secret location, a loud scream from the off announces the removal of the regent from the neighboring kingdom, whereupon the terrified museum director announces his escape abroad (scene 4). Thereupon there are isolated outcry among the general people (2nd scene) before his followers and then the regent himself appear and express displeasure with the decree, which leads to tumult in the general people (3rd scene). We learn of the deposition of the regent within two years, which is announced by the press (1st scene). The press speaks of a 25-year reign in which an angry rebel created a radiant court from a landscape of ruins, which initially included angry, then successful princes and whose following grew steadily, which silenced all adversaries.
